Week 9

Our last week of club for the year! It was a happy/sad day for us all. The girls seemed to enjoy their Field Day activities. Playing in the pool, running the obstacle course, balloon animals, one last day with the kittens...So much fun!
Our lesson was on Self Control, we had one story from the Bible about David and second story about a boy who gives up his circus tickets so another boy can go for the first time. The lessons showed us all how we can control our actions for the benefit of others.
Thank you for letting us work with your girls again this year! We really enjoyed holding club for them all.

August 10th

We had the girls hunt for their snacks today as part of their treasure hunt. They all took turns reading and figuring out the clues for the next location. Fun, Fun, Fun! Faithfulness was our Fruit of the Spirit this week. We learned about Daniel in the Lion's den, and we saw how Daniel was faithful to God and God showed His fithfulness to him as well. We had fun making the hidden treasure bottles with the girls. Remember to check the lids for their seal and reglue with Super Glue or Krazy Glue if they can't be opened!

August 3rd

I didn't get pictures of the girls with there packages, but they did a great job making them. It was so fun hearing your precious girls telling you that they were to be surprises for someone else. The girls all seemed to really understand the concept of being a Goodness Gorilla! Hope you have fun spreading goodness with your angels!! Blessings upon you Mothers and Fathers!

We learned about kindness this week. The Bible story was about the good Samaritan. We also read about a young girl who showed kindness towards the elderly lady who watched her each day. The girls seemed to understand the concept and hopefully are practicing Kindness at home.

Playing in the sprinkler and with the kittens was a lot of fun. The hula-hoops were also a big hit this week.

Week Three

This was of course, Princess Day. Nine young girls showed up at our door in their favorite Princess outfits ready to have fun. (One girl came also as a cat) We took individual photos of the girls that we will use in a later craft. Our Fruit of the spirit for this week was Peace. We used the story of Queen Esther to help emphasize world type Peace, while the worksheets covered the Peace of God.

All the girls enjoyed holding the kittens, now four weeks old. It is so fun to have animals for them to enjoy while they spend time at our home. Everyone also enjoyed coloring their craft and making ribbon wreaths. Thanks again for letting us work with your daughters!

Week Two
The girls are working on their worksheets that show us a picture of Joy. This week our themes were Joy and Red, White, & Blue. The lesson was on the joy the disciples were filled with when they spent time with Jesus after his resurrection and then being able to see Him ascend into the clouds. We can all have a Joy within us that comes from the Holy Spirit living in our hearts.
Our 4th of July theme tied in with another kind of joy we experience when we celebrate our nations birthday with parties and fireworks.

June 22

Our first week of club got off to a great start with the sun shining and six happy young girls! We are so excited to see what God has is store for us this summer. Our theme for this year is the fruit of the Spirit. Week 1 was learning about Love and our craft theme was Bugs! The girls had worksheets to help them learn about love, and the craft was making bug boxes and also butterflies. The girls also enjoyed a tour of the farm and got to have pony rides.
Our cat chose to have her kittens on Tuesday, so this next week the girls will get to see 4 week old baby kittens.
